olympic fever!

after a week and a half in chile, i was super happy to get home. not only was it exhausting, but i was missing the olympics...and they're being hosted in canada! i don't think it's any secret that i am fully obsessed with the games, my tv is all olympics all the time. my brother was over and changed the channel to check something on mtv, and i almost had a heart attack. and yes, i even re-watch the taped events that are replayed. i can't help myself!

today, i actually left the comfort of my couch and my sweet, sweet olympics to venture out...and look for, of all things, olympic gear! what else? i met up with d, who may actually be as olympic obsessed as me, and we grabbed a bite and made our hike over to the bay. imagine our surprise when we hit nathan phillips square! a full-on olympic celebration. i wish that anyone who ever felt that torontonians were cold or unpatriotic could have spent just five mins in the square. canadian flags and gear everywhere. there were hockey shooting events, curling events, skating, photo opps (we actually stood in line trying to get our pic taken in a bobsled...hahaha) and a card that everyone was signing for the athletes. it was so nice to see everyone out and unified in such a showing of canadian pride. ah, warm fuzzies. i took a few quick shots on my treo. the dog in his canada shirt and red beads kinda makes my life  

oh, and for you ladies who were looking to pick up some olympic gear of your own, save yourself some time - skip the bay (which is busy and incredibly picked over) and head to tna in the eaton centre. their entire store is filled only with 2010 wear...and it's all really, really nice. i picked up two shirts that i'm in la-la-love with (you can see some of artitzia/tna's olympic wear here and here).
