what a way to wrap up the olympics! our men win gold! have never felt so proud and i love how much our city has come alive. red and white everywhere, cheering, random high fives from strangers. canadian flags out and about.
can honestly say i have never seen a bar get so insane! from the first puck drop, there were crazy cheers (my favourite: ‘when i say shoot, you say scores. shoot. scores! shoot. scores! when i say canada, you say go! canada. go! canada. go!), a ridiculous amount of screaming, and even a singing of our national anthem.
i’ll be sad to see the olympics end, but will be happy to get my life back…perhaps my tv will finally switch from ctv
