stadium love.

we’re so often packed into small downtown bars to see local indie bands, i’d almost forgotten how nice a larger venue can be. we headed to the amphitheatre to see metric on the weekend, and what a glorious night it was for a concert – the sun was shining a good breeze was blowing, and mama had herself a seat! imagine! it was so very awes to be able to sit in between acts or just when my feet needed a good rest. god, i’m old. hahaha while the evening was perfect, there was a little bit of heartbreak as we saw a front man from another band stroll in with –gasp- another girl! anyway, metric were nothing short of amaze as usual. emily haines still continues to be near the top of my ‘girl crush’ chart. if only i, too, could wear sequins everyday as she does. le sigh. her energy never ceases to amaze me – i can barely carry on a conversation after climbing a set of stairs, and here she is all high kicks and jumps throughout each and every one of her songs. seriously, if you haven’t seen them, you must. she is infectious and so fun…and sounds exactly like the recorded version of herself. which creeps.me.out.

i didn’t bring my cam, but i’ve stolen the shot below shamelessly from a facebook friend (thanks, brian). enjoy!
